How to travel to the city centre of Dublin?

Dublin airport is a bit outside the city centre, it takes you about 40 minutes to get to the city centre. The city itself is not big, you can do many things on foot. Transport options

From the airport, there are several transport options to get to the city, you can take a taxi, buy a return ticket for the bus or buy a Leap Visitor Card.

  • The taxi costs about €20,- to €25,- per one-way trip to O’Connell Bridge (the city centre).
  • Return for the bus to the centre costs ± €13,- in total.
  • The other option is buying a Leap Visitor Card, the pass can be applied for 1, 3 or 7 days. The 1-day pass costs €8,-, the 3-day €16,- and the 7-day €32,-. The time starts from the first moment of use. With this card you can travel from the airport to the city centre and also explore all the surrounding areas of the city, super convenient!

Where to buy the Dublin Leap Visitor Card?

You can get the card at the airport, at the arrival hall outside, opposite a building with a supermarket (before you get to the buses).
