¡Hola todos! How lovely that you are following my travel adventures! My name is Doris Leone, a name my amazing parents carefully chose to be international, unique, and easy to pronounce anywhere in the world. And honestly? I love it!
How did this all begin?
Growing up in sunny southern Andalusia, Spain, was nothing short of an amazing experience. With its vibrant culture, rich history, and the melodic beauty of the Spanish language, it is no wonder I fell head over heels for travel and storytelling. Fun fact: my logo features Almería’s (an Andalusian city) historical symbol, a rock painting from over 20,000 years ago! The rainbow above it? A colourful way to chase away evil spirits.
At 11, life took me back to the flat, green and flowering landscapes of the Netherlands, where I rediscovered the charm of my home country. It is funny how moving away makes you appreciate the beauty of your own country again. That is why you will find plenty of love for Dutch gems sprinkled throughout my blog!

What is behind the name Mundo Leone?
It is really simple, mundo means “world” in Spanish, and Leone is my second name. Doris happens to end in “do”: Voilà, Mundo Leone was born!
